Well, wouldn't you know that I ran off to the farm for Thanksgiving and left my camera behind! These things happen when you try to leave at 7am with 4 littles, a trunk full of pies and a day bag worthy of the cartop carrier. Here's the thing about Thanksgiving...and really any other holiday, appointment or get-together in our family. Being late is NOT an option. It has never been an option and will never be an option. Our motto...said frequently by Grandpa Jack is this: "Early is on time in this family." No pressure for a teenager, college kid, significant ofher, etc....no pressure at all.
Gran's house was bursting at the seams this year! It was so packed that she opened up the VIP room. It is reserved for special guests, royalty, and government officials. It consists of a long foldable table smack-dab in the middle of the garage. It's best to hurry if you are headed to the VIP room. You don't want to get stuck with a bad seat...crammed next to the big freezer or between the table and industrial quilting machine! This year's stats: 12 lucky family members made it to the VIP room, including me.
As we move into the holiday season, I wanted to share with all of you a few pictures of those I am most thankful for.
